If there is no cooling at the time when the light inside is on and the compressor is running, you need to check the refrigerator for freon leakage. The cause is usually mechanical damage to the system – piping, condenser and evaporator. If there is no damage and (or) there are breakdowns of the compressor valves, it is necessary to change the refrigeration unit.

If there is no cold and the compressor does not turn on, the causes of breakdowns may be as follows:
malfunction of the thermostat, refrigerator control board
compressor failure
start relay failure

A quick shutdown of the refrigerator indicates problems with the compressor or start-up relay. The motor-compressor most often “suffers” from inter turn short circuits and winding breakage.

As a result, when starting, the motor overheats and a protective relay is activated, turning it off. Repair of the part is usually ineffective, so the motor-compressor will most likely need to be replaced.
